Ingredients:
- One medium* banana
- 1/2 cup* of quick oats
* doesn't matter how much you use--as long as you get a similar consistency (as shown below).
Cooking method:
- Microwave
Makes:
- ~11 thin cookies
- 1.5" x 2" x .25"
Calories: ~250
Quick Directions:
- Mash medium banana so that there are a few (small) chunks left.
- Add 1/2 cup of oats.
- Place small balls of mixture on plates.
- "Smoosh" balls (fork, spoon, fingers...)
- Microwave for one minute.
- Flip cookies and cook at 30 second intervals.
- Let cookies cool (they will harden).
- Eat! I keep my extras in the fridge, but they're better fresh.
Step by step:
 |
| nanner and quick oats |
 |
| Mash so only a few chunks of banana remain. |
 |
| Add half cup of oats! Doesn't have to be exact. |
 |
Plop on a plate and "smoosh" with a fork. For thicker (more
break-like) cookies, keep them as balls. |
 |
| Microwave one plate at a time. Each for one minute. |
 |
| Flip cookies over! They may stick to the plate a little. |
 |
Cook at thirty second intervals. If they start turning
reddish-brown, that means you're burning them.
I do two sets of thirty second intervals--letting
them cool a little in between. |
 |
| This thin! |
 |
| Yum! |
 |
| What a burnt cookie looks like.. |
 |
| Perfect. |
